Que me dice, mai? It's been a long day here in Chilamate. Waking up to a couple of roosters crowing is quite a nuisance. As we got up and ready I spotted a tiny slithery salamander sitting and anxiously waiting for some action. I went into the bathroom, picked up a cup, and brought the sneaky creature into Liam's bed, and don't worry he enjoyed the majestic amphibian. After that, we got onto the bus and headed to our lodge. Once we unpacked and ate lunch in the lodge we headed over to the school to meet the wonderful children. We played a couple different games with the kids as the day went on. We painted a part of the school were the kids enjoyed playing and hanging out in. The kids loved all of our gifts and shared them throughout their whole group as they laughed and ran around aimlessly. After we left the school and finished our painting, we walked back over to the lodge to hang out and prepare for dinner. A couple of us went to shower and I ended up meeting an unwanted visitor. I open my shower and I booked it. I ran back into the room slammed the door grabbed a plastic bag from my man Jake and with the help of Liam and Will we were able snatch up the frog, show it around, and release it back into the forest. My trip has been great so far except for my fear of Zika, Chikungunya, and Danky fever, but those mosquitoes have nothing on me. I love this beautiful country and the culture. I hope to see and experience more fun things as this exciting trip goes on.
