Day One

It takes Mcdonald's two minutes to make a Big Breakfast with Hotcakes, but it takes them five minutes to stack bacon, egg, and cheese between two bagels. Mrs. Travis, I want you to figure out the math behind this. Ladies and gentlemen, that is the reason Will and I were almost late for our flight. We had a nonstop flight to San Jose for five hours. When we got there we had to go through a long line for customs, which took us about half an hour to get through, but we got to ask each other riddles while we were in line. After we got out of customs, we hopped on the bus and met our guide, Randall. We grabbed a bite to eat at the restaurant at Brilla Sol, where we ate a meal of chicken and rice fresh from Costa Rica. After we unpacked, we played a game where we had to name the names of the people in front of us, and the people that they admired the most. I was at the back of the bus, so I had to name everyone. Yay. We got to the zoo and saw some of the many species of animals that Costa Rica has to offer. We finished admiring the animals, and headed back to Brilla Sol. We swam in the pool, and some of the boys played capture the flag. We are about to eat dinner. I want to say hello to Mr. Coolidge's class back at home. Pray for us here, and be very thankful that you guys have air conditioning. Adios!
-Colin

  4. Colin, I'm not sure how to read your "Yay." Is that an excited or sarcastic "Yay"? Thanks for updating us! :) Mrs. Smith
